Safari's Biggest Rival - Scorpio

Well, it was in the 90s when Tata Motors brought the Safari into existence, and right after its arrival, the audience got mad at the SUV. Today, the Scorpio has crossed more than 9.5 lac unit sales, which is a big number for a car that costs more than ₹15 lacs (as of now in 2024), and was launched just two decades ago. It has also been awarded, as the second best-selling car in Mahindra’s house.

At the front, we have made subtle changes to make it look modern but simultaneously maintain that upright look. At the front of the 2024 Tata Safari Storme Classic, you get the same shaped narrow grille but here it is matt black painted with indents similar to the ones found on the new Gen Safari (it isn’t even a real safari).

The front headlights now have black housing to modernize the overall appeal with two projector headlamps similar to the ones found in the Scorpio-N. The front bumper is designed by taking inspiration from Land Rover's discovery with its small vertical fog lamps housing connected with a thin black bar and below the bumper is a black skid plate enhancing the overall sportiness of the SUV.

 

On the side, we have put the alloys of the New Safari to make some similarities between both but in 18-inch size to retain the off-road capabilities of the Storme Classic and also we have painted the brake calipers red to enhance the sportiness. the ORVMs have been upgraded to the new ones found in all Tata SUVs, and a new Classic badge has been added to the front fender to remind all the people this is the new enhanced Safari Storme. The side door handles are all the same but now have been painted black to fit with the other black bits.

 

At the back, the overall looks are some with some enhancements to modernize the look where the taillights are all the same but with a smoked black transparent cover which has a DRL running from the lights to the entire width of the vehicle.The New Safari Storme classic gets the same black panel with the Safari classic badge and the same dual exhaust setup at the back.

Before getting discontinued in 2019, Tata Safari was on sale for ₹ 10-97-16.35 Lakhs Ex-showroom India (pretty high for that time). So if the Tata Safari Stome makes a comeback expect prices between ₹ 16.9-18 Lakhs Ex-showroom India.
