Honda has started gaining pace in the Indian market again, as it did in the past. Though Honda only had the City and the Amaze in its portfolio for India for a long time but, since the launch of the Elevate, the brand has been determined to make its portfolio even wider now. If you are expecting us to cover the Elevate EV, well, NO! However, we have got you something even better, as Honda has officially teased the 3rd Generation of the Honda Amaze on its Social Media platforms, and the irony is that they teased it a day after Maruti teased its 2025 Dzire, Amaze’s key rival.

About Honda Amaze

The Honda Amaze is currently Honda’s most affordable car/sedan available in the Indian market, starting at ₹7.29 lakh. It was launched back in 2013, as a bigger version of the Honda Brio in a Sedan form. Back then, it was very similar to the Brio in terms of its design, which later changed in its second generation, where it borrowed design cues from the Honda City. Today, the Amaze is in its second-generation facelift model. 

The Amaze was specifically made for the ASEAN (Thailand and Philippines), Nepal and the Indian market. It was developed in Thailand and is manufactured in Greater Noida and Rajasthan, India. 

2025 Honda Amaze 3rd Gen Details 

Well, through the image shared by Honda, we were not able to pick out much but, after a few edits, it now reveals a lot more from the particular image. Firstly, one thing is clear, this will be a complete makeover for the current Honda Amaze from the outside and the inside. 

We can see that upfront, the 2025 Amaze will get a new grille, like all other new-age Honda cars. The Elevate is the best example, as it has a huge, big grille, and the same has been carried forward in the 2025 Amaze. It will have a squared-boxy-like grille design with a huge Honda logo on it. The use of Chrome will be much less than it is today. 

Then, we will also have slimmer headlamps with new LED beams in use, the DRLs will be the same and will use LEDs, too. Foglamps cannot be seen in the image but, we believe that Honda would offer LED Foglamps, as well. 

Other than this, we expect the Amaze to have a bit more coupe-ish design given to it, as other Honda sedans, internationally, are receiving such design treatments. The alloy wheels will also receive a new design to them with more premium appeal. 

Moreover, the interiors of the 2025 Amaze will also see a design and equipment change with better and well-finished additions. More soft-touch points, premium design, and better technology will arrive in the cabin of the 2025 Amaze. Currently, the Amaze uses a 7-inch Infotainment screen, which could be changed to a much bigger 8 or 9 inch screen with the new Honda interface, like in the Elevate. 

Secondly, a few much-needed features that the current Amaze lacks, like a sunroof, Front Armrest, Leather seats, all-adjustable Headrests, etc might get added, too. The boot space of the current-gen Amaze is 420 litres, which is less likely to be increased, and definitely will not be decreased. 

2025 Honda Amaze 3rd Gen Powertrain option

The 2025 Honda Amaze will use the same 1.2 L i-vtec Petrol engine that produces 89 hp and 110 Nm torque. It is available in a 5-speed Manual Gearbox and a CVT. Also, it will have the same fuel tank capacity of 35 litres. The claimed fuel efficiency of the Amaze is 19 km/L. 

No mechanical changes will be made to the Amaze. Secondly, Diesel use was dropped by Honda already in April 2023 after the updated BS6 emission norms, the last Diesel-operated car was the Amaze i-Dtec. 

2025 Honda Amaze 3rd Gen India launch & Price details 

The 2025 Amaze will be launched on December 4, 2024. 

The 2025 Amaze will also see an incline in its price - currently, it is priced at ₹7.29 lakh but, our expectations say that it could jump to ₹8 lakh.
