2025 Kia Carens 7 seater spied in India with new sets of LED DRLs, To get new Interiors and Screens from 2024 Kia Seltos

The Indian Automobile Industry has spied on a lot of vehicles in its first quarter, and so is the case in the second quarter, as the 2025 Kia Carens has been spied on ahead of its launch. The Carens is an MPV from Hyundai’s sister company, Kia Motors. The Carens outsells its rivals every month, which are the Maruti Suzuki’s XL6, its own sibling MPV, the Hyundai Alcazar, and Toyota Innova Crysta. 

The Carens is set to receive its mid-life facelift update, like the 2024 Kia Seltos and 2024 Kia Sonet. This facelift is set to give a new design appeal to the 2025 Kia Carens. The spy shots of the 2025 Kia Carens have already given some hints on what the design could be, and some other vital updates or changes.

New LED DRLs and LED Headlamps - 

The 2025 Carens facelift is all ready to receive a design update for its headlamp unit. As we can see, the test mule of the 2025 Kia Carens facelift gets its LED DRLs connected to the LED Headlamp’s housing. Moreover, the current Carens gets a squared ensign for its headlamp housing, the upcoming 2025 Kia Carens will get a triangular unit, which will most probably pack two LED beams. The LED DRLs also seem to have a connected design, unlike the pre-facelifted Carens. 

New design for Front Fascia - 

The 2025 Carens will have a re-designed front fascia, which will have most of its area closed. This also hints at the possibility that Kia might launch the much-needed Carens EV. Anyway, the design for the air dams could also be changed and be made more squarish and boxy to suit the current SUV-design trend. 

2025 Carens will get ADAS - 

The 2025 Carens will also be packed with Level 2 ADAS features. This will most probably hold the Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency braking, and possibly Blind Spot Detection, too, with other Safety ADAS features. 

With the inclusion of ADAS in the 2025 Kia Carens, it will make the MPV, the first to get ADAS in its segment, as none other packs the particular. 

2025 Carens facelift will get 360* Camera System - 

Being a Kia MPV, the one thing Carens lacked the most was a 360* Camera system. Well, now, the 2025 facelift of the Carens will receive the 360* Camera feature, as we can see two side-view camera bulges underneath the ORVMs. This confirms that the 2025 Carens will have a 360* Camera system. 

New 17’ Alloy wheels -

Like its siblings, the 2025 Carens will also get new shoes to run on. We can see a new design for the alloy wheels, which also has been bumped up in size - 17’. The design is like all other Kia cars, very sharp, striking, and modern. 

Carens facelift’s New Tail lamps - 

The 2025 Carens facelift will also have an identical tail lamp design compared to its siblings, Seltos and Sonet. We have seen that the Seltos and the Sonet have a connected tail lamp design, and most probably, the same can be seen on the upcoming Carens facelift. 

Overall, the design of the 2025 Carens will not differ from its current, ongoing model. As this is a mid-life update, the Carens will bring in some useful advanced features, which we talked about. 

Though we can see some greater changes in the Interiors, most of them focusing on the dashboard. Moreover, we will also see some subtle design changes in the interiors for a better experience. As Kia did in the 2024 Seltos, we will be seen in the 2025 Carens facelift - the design will add a sense of plushness and premiumness in the interiors. 

As said, earlier, the 2025 Carens will get a new set of screens. These screens will be sourced from the new Seltos, which tells us that they will be 10.25’ units. The UI and software of the screens will be new, as on the Seltos, it will be very crisp and clear to read. 

2025 Kia Carens Engine options

The Carens comes with a total of three engine options, starting with - 

A 1.5 L Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine, producing 115 PS and 144 Nm Torque. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed Manual gearbox only. 

Then comes, the 1.5 L Turbo Petrol Engine, producing 160 PS and 253 Nm Torque. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. 

At last, the Carens also packs a 1.5 L Diesel Engine, producing 116 PS and 250 Nm Torque. This engine will be mated to 6-speed Manual / iMT / Automatic gearboxes. 

2025 Kia Carens Price and India launch

The 2025 Kia Carens facelift’s India launch could take place this Festive Season, where we could see some new Kia Carens prices, as well. We expect the 2025 Carens might start from ₹11 lakhs and go up to ₹20 lakhs.
