The Volkswagen Group, which includes Volkswagen and Skoda, has been quite active in the Indian Market. They have been launching new editions and variations of their current models - Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan, and Skoda Kushaq, Slavia, Superb & Kodiaq. Today, we have brought you Skoda news, where we can see that the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is being tested in India.
Today, in the Indian market, Skoda is offering the Facelifted First Generation of the Skoda Kodiaq, which was globally launched back in 2017, and in India, it was launched in 2018. This Skoda car is a three-row SUV that is a blend of Skoda’s opulence and comfort. The Kodiaq is offered with a powerful 2.0 L Turbo-Petrol Engine, which generates 190 PS and 320 Nm Torque. The sales of the Kodiaq in India are disappointing compared to its rivals - the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, etc. The Kodiaq even struggles to sell 200 units, whereas, the Fortuner ranges around 2000 - 3000 units per month.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq’s design is an evolution when compared to its previous generation. The Front of the SUV holds the same design as the Grille but, the Grille overall, has become smaller. The DRL runs through the Grille, further, conneecting both the Headlamps. The Headlamp unit gets the Skoda Crystal Lighting, which consists of a few strong LED beams. The Kodiaq comes with Six Parking sensors on the front in order to assist the SUV with the Self-Parking feature. It also is fitted with a Front Radar for the ADAS facilities.
The Side of the 2025 Kodiaq gets a few new inserts differing it from its previous generation. It runs on new 18-inch Alloy wheels, which have gotten a new design. The D-Pillar gets a Silverish metal treatment to embrace its design even more. The Kodiaq used to be a bit boxy but, this new design has made it more curvy.
The Rear of the 2025 Kodiaq gets a new connected LED Tail lamp. Just like every other Skoda Tail lamp, even the ones on the 2025 Kodiaq have a striking and sharp design. The rest of the Rear is almost the same with no change.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq Interiors
The Cabin of the Kodiaq has received a completely new design. The use of Leather on the dashboard has been done tastefully, and overall, the design of the dashboard has also become edgy. It uses Brown and Black colors on the Dashboard with the subtle inclusion of Ambient lightning.
Next, it has brought in a new simply clever feature, which is the Multi-purpose dials. These dials have a small TFT color screen in them. They can be used for multiple purposes, like adjusting Climate control, Media control, and Terrain Modes.
The 2025 Kodiaq gets a 10.25 Inch Instrument Cluster and a 13 Inch Infotainment System. Both of these screens are equipped with sharp and crisp UI / UX for clear understanding and convenience. They have also been added to Skoda’s new software. Moreover, the Infotainment system also includes in-built Navigation, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and access to Climate Controls.
The Steering wheel follows Skoda’s current trend of Two-Spoke design. It also has a lot of buttons with two rollers, too.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq Engine Options
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq will carry forward the same engine option in India, which it currently has, the 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine producing 190 PS and 320 Nm Torque.
Skoda will not bring the Internationally-sold Diesel Engine, as it has already given up on Diesel operations in India due to Emission Norms getting stricter.
