With all the increasing competition in the market, carmakers are using every ounce of their body to cop up and be at the top. Technologies, Features, etc which we had never thought of getting in various budget cars, is actually happening. To acquire the most amount of space in the market, carmakers are actually doing it. Tata Motors is one of those. 

Tata cars have been impressive since the past 5 - 6 years, thanks to TATA Motors. They are really packing the punch and improving themselves at every given chance. Though, there are some cars which Tata Motors had to update, as they were offering the same thing for the past few years. And finally! We can say that Tata Motors are doing it. Few launches from the house of Tata Motors are expected this year. In fact, in post quarter-1 earnings call, PB BALAJI, Group CFO at Tata Motors said that, “ From now onwards, the launch cycle is kicking in and we will be going full blast with a series of new launches”. 

So let’s talk about all the possible new launches, which we could see this year from Tata Motors’ house.

2024 TATA NEXON

This car’s launch is the most anticipated one. Nexon, who’s already ruling its segment by providing some amazing and practical features at a convenient price, is about to get even better. 

The launch of the 2024 TATA NEXON might take place this festive season and this might also be the first of all the new launches which will be taking place. 

Let’s talk more about the new TATA Nexon, that what could this car pack for us this time -

• A new 1.2 litre Turbo GDI Petrol engine → 125 PS & 225 Nm of torque. This engine was announced by the company in the recent AUTO EXPO 2023.

• Full LED lighting → It will get a new redesigned headlight as well as tail light section which will consist of LED’s. 

• New Alloy wheels - Tata Nexon has had one of the best alloy wheel designs in the past and even now. The new alloy wheel has a turbine design cue in them & it also helps the car look more filled and bulky.

• New overall Design of the car - Tata Motors has beefed up the new Nexon, as seen in the spy shots. The wheel arches look more muscular and give a handsome vibe to the car.

• New Interiors - Tata Motors have gone past all the boundaries that the competitors had set. New sporty interiors have been spied with purple seats, new touch sensitive climate control and a new gear lever.

Now, let's move onto the next one because the 2024 Tata Nexon literally would need a whole independent article to define it.

TATA PUNCH CNG

After the 2024 Nexon, Tata Punch CNG is the most anticipated car from Tata Motors. The CNG variant of Punch is set to pack the patented Twin Cylinder Technology of Tata Motors. It will have two small cylinders which will compensate for one big traditional CNG tank. By doing this Tata Motors will ultimately save some area for the boot space. Tata punch CNG will be the 2nd car to have this technology after the Altroz. 

It will have the same 1.2 litre engine which will be mated to the CNG tanks, it will produce 72 PS & 103 Nm of torque. We estimate a fuel efficiency of about 20 Km/L. This update will also bring in the sunroof feature in the Punch.  It will be priced from ₹ 7.9 to ₹ 9.4 Lakhs according to our prediction.

TATA PUNCH EV

Tata Motors just don’t want to loosen their grip on the EV market of India. They are launching some of the best EV’s of India today, take Nexon as an example. And tighten the grip more, Tata Punch EV will be the most probable launch after the Tata Punch CNG’s launch. It will be the 4th EV from Tata Motors lineup. The Punch EV was spied on a few weeks ago and we can spot some of the changes which the Punch EV might have.

• New Front & Rear facia - It might get a new design for the front grill and the bumper, which ultimately might also result in a new headlight design.

• Redesigned Interior - A new steering wheel can be seen in the image. It might also get some center console bits from the Nexon EV like the drive selector and electronic parking brake.

• New Alloy wheels - Being an EV it is packing a typical EV’s alloy wheels - almost packed like any other EV out there. 

We assume it to get two battery packs - 29 KwH & 34 KwH, which might run for 200 - 260 kms on a full charge.

This launch might also bring in the Punch in 2nd generation, as it seems that the EV has got some design changes.

After all, like all other EV alternatives for a gasoline vehicle, the Punch EV might be a bit pricey compared to its gasoline variants. We expect it to be around ₹ 9.5 - 12 Lakhs.

2024 TATA SAFARI

The Safari and Harrier are the set of flagship SUVs from Tata Motors. It's been a long time since Safari has launched and hasn't had any major changes. The 2024 spied modules of the Safari have been seen with some out of the world features. 

The Safari is Tata’s flagship car. And now it is about to be the most expensive and feature rich product they will have in their crate. The safari will have a major facelift this time with slue of design changes and added features. It might also introduce the newly announced 1.5 L Turbo GDI petrol engine → 170 PS & 280 Nm of Torque. We can also spot some updated areas in the Safari through the spy images -

• New Dashboard - The Dashboard has been completely redesigned. AC vents, Touch sensitive climate control, 2-spoke steering wheel, Gear selector like the on in Range Rover, etc.

• New Touch screen - Though Tata Motors have already updated the Safari’s touchscreen, still from them maybe it's not enough, as we can see a more sharp and elegant touchscreen in the image. The UI might be the same but size could be increased.

• New Alloy wheels - Tata Motors will finally be introducing some new alloy wheels on of which we have already seen. The Safari as well as the Harrier were using the same alloy wheels since their launch and they were one of the aspects in the car which had to be changed.

• New Front & Rear Fascia - Tata Motors’ new headlight designs have been spotted on various upcoming SUVs but the 2024 Safari was the one to get spied with it first. It will also pack full LED lighting all around the tail light as well. A new design for the tail lights can also be seen in the spy shots.

The 2024 Safari might get its debut after this festive season and be launched at the end of this year. The prices of it are expected to go up by around ₹ 1 - 1.5 lakhs

2024 TATA HARRIER

The new Harrier is going to be the talk of the town as it already looks dashing and has the Land Rover feels in it. Maybe, the harrier might also end up distinguishing itself from the Safari, as they both look the same from the front. This will help the Harrier sell well as it will have its unique look. The Harrier spy shots too tell us a bit about the upgrade it going to get - 

• Connected DRL’s - Current Harrier is equipped with a split at both ends of the bonet. This update might get them connected, as it is quite visible and can be made out that they are connected.

• New Headlights & Tail lights - Tata Motors just want to get rid of the current spit headlight trend they have in their cars as almost every upcoming Tata car has its headlight connected. 

• New Range Rover like gear lever - Tata Motors being the owner of JLR ( Jaguar LandRover ), they are making full use of their position. First the platform for the Harrier and Safari and now the Centre console! It's not looking bad though. It sure has upgraded the plushness and luxury of the interior.

Most of the other changes in the car are the same as the Safari with few differences here and there. 

The 2024 Harrier might get launched at the end of this year. And maybe, the unveiling of the car could happen in this festive season. For the Harrier, prices are expected to increase by a lakh of rupees too.

So, these are the cars which we think might get launched by the end of this year or the festive season. These cars are a much needed change for Tata Motors to capture the market share more and run towards the way to dominate it.
