Tata Curvv to get Safari-like Premium Interiors

May 23rd, 2024

The Korean Giant, Hyundai Creta, currently rules the segment of Midsize SUVs. The SUVs from this segment that start from ₹13 lakhs and top out at ₹22 lakhs literally sell like hot cakes in India. Nearly 15,000 units per month are sold by Hyundai of their Creta only. Secondly, it's been quite a long time since some SUV other than Creta’s own sibling, the Seltos, has challenged the SUV, and it is simply because it is unnecessary, as no one is able to surpass Creta. But, it seems that the Korean needs to tighten their seatbelts, as an Indian is bringing a tsunami into the segment. We are talking of Tata Motors’ upcoming Midsize SUV, the 2024 Tata Curvv. And recently, the Curvv was spied on, where almost all of its interiors were exposed. We have picked out some serious details of it, further revealing almost all the premium Curvv features. So, let us get into today’s topic of Upcoming Curvv Interiors Spied completely - Gets Premium Features.

New Harrier / Safari-like Steering Wheel

The upcoming Tata Curvv will get its steering wheel from its elder siblings, the Harrier and Safari. It seems that Tata Motors wants to position the Curvv in the premium segment, too, as it will be one of Tata Motors’ three SUVs to get a Four Spoke Steering wheel, which digitally illuminates the Tata logo.

This Four Spoke Steering wheel is full of premium touch, as it gets a white and black colored leather wrap over it, with a contrast of an aluminum piece stuck below. Overall, this makes the steering wheel look very upmarket and elegant.

It will get Media and Cruise Control buttons over it, with four physical push buttons. All the button signs are digitally illuminated, too.

Rotary Knob for Drive Mode Selection

As we saw the Curvv is going to get almost all of its interior equipment from its elder siblings, the Harrier and Safari but, it seems that Tata Motors did some cost-cutting over here. Basically, the Safari and the Harrier get a jeweled rotary knob for their Drive mode selection, on the other hand, we can see that the Curvv will get a basic rotary knob from the Nexon.

Stylish Harrier / Safari-like Drive Selector Stick

Like on the Harrier and Safari, the Curvv will also get a small, stylish-looking drive selector stick. This stick is specifically for the DCA (DCT Gearbox) of Tata Motors, which also confirms that the Curvv will get a DCA Gearbox, too, like the Nexon, Safari, and Harrier.

12 Inch Infotainment System

The Curvv will have its Infotainment system sourced from the Harrier and Safari, as well. This Infotainment screen is one super sleek and crisp unit. It does have a very few lagging issues but, they barely annoy you. Other than that, this screen is filled with new-age tech, like the 360* Camera System, Detailed Vehicle data, Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, etc.

This screen will also be connected to a brilliant JBL Sound system, which we believe could be the same 9 Speaker unit (4 Tweeters, 4 Speakers, and 1 Subwoofer) from the Nexon. This unit has already been applauded a lot by customers for its supreme sound quality. They also have a lot of adjustability and sound modes that can adjusted from the screen itself.

18 Inch Turbine-like Alloy Wheels

The Curvv will also get a new design for its alloy wheels, which look very sporty and modern at first look. The Alloy wheels are camouflaged but, still, we can make out that they would be stylish, and they will also have the diamond-cut design feature in them.

These alloy wheels have been designed considering the EV strategy in mind, too. As Tata Motors will not change the alloy design for the Curvv.ev that will be launched. Hence, we could see them have a bit of aero-covers upon them.

Lastly, they will have a size of 18’

Cheapest Tata SUV to get ADAS

The upcoming Tata Curvv is set to be the cheapest Tata SUV to have the ADAS features. The Curvv will most probably have the ADAS Level 2 from its elder siblings, the Harrier and Safari. The ADAS on the Curvv will have some seriously safe features, like Rear Collision warning, Side Blind Spot detection, Lane keep assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, etc.

Tata Curvv Engine Options -

Tata Motors' new Petrol Engines
Tata Motors' new Petrol Engines

Tata Curvv will be the first Tata SUV to have the recently shown new Petrol engines from Tata Motors. According to the brand, these engines are new, modern, and sporty in nature. We believe the Curvv will be sourced with a total of three engines - 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel.

1.2 L Turbo GDI Petrol Engine producing 125 hp and 225 Nm Torque. This engine will be mated with a 6-speed Manual and a 6-speed Automatic Gearbox. This engine will focus more on the lower and mid variants of the Curvv.

1.5 L Turbo GDI Petrol Engine producing 180 hp and 280 Nm Torque. This engine will be specifically for the Racer edition of the upcoming Curvv. This engine will be mated with a 6-speed Manual and 7-speed DCA Gearbox. This engine will make the Curvv go head-on against the sportier SUVs in this segment, like the Hyundai Creta N-line, Seltos X-line, Taigun GT, etc.

1.5 L Diesel Engine producing 115 hp and 260 Nm Torque. This engine, according to us, will be the most preferred one, as most of the Tata sales are dependent on their Diesel engines. This engine will be mated with a 6-speed Manual and a 6-speed Automatic Gearbox.

We shall also talk about the first arriving Curvv.ev, which will have a 50 kWh Battery pack. It will have a claimed range of almost 500 km but, in real-world conditions, it will run up to 400 km on a full charge.

Tata Curvv Launch Date and Price Details

Tata Curvv will be launched soon in 2024. As of now, the brand has been aggressively testing out the Curvv on the road.

The Price of the Curvv will be low compared to its rivals. We expect it to commence from ₹10.5 lakhs and climb up to ₹19 lakhs
