2023 was a hell of a year. We got to see some incredible launches from various car brands, like Honda, Maruti, Tata, Hyundai, etc. But if you were observational enough, then one of the most interesting things about all these launches is that all of them were SUVs. Whether it be the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Tata Safari & Harrier, Honda Elevate, etc. So, what does this tell us? Well, this answers the fact that now the Car manufacturers have also admitted, “No SUVs, No Business.” Therefore, many SUVs were launched in India in the year 2023. Okay, we know; now you are questioning, what about 2024? Are any launches coming up? To answer this, yes! In fact, not one, but plenty! So, here we present to you all the New SUVs launching in India in 2024.

2024 Hyundai Creta launch

Starting up with one of the most anticipated upcoming cars, the Hyundai Creta for 2024. This facelift will give Creta a generational change, which mostly will cover the change of all the fundamentals, like Platform, Design, Features, etc. All these changes will be made in order to be in today's trend of being unique in the segment, that is why we might even see some first-in-the-segment additions.

To talk about it in detail, the 2024 Creta facelift will have its design inspired by its elder siblings, like the Palisade, Tucson, etc. It will also go through a major interior change, where it will have its dashboard redesigned, with new screens and a completely different laid-out setup. There will be no change made under the hood, as the Creta already has a set of updated engines, and they are liked by the customers supremely, as well.

About its launch, we expect Hyundai to showcase the 2024 Creta Facelift at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2024, where it will be debuted, and further launch it in Quarter 2 ( Feb 2024 - July 2024 ) of 2024. 

About its price we expect a marginal increase in its price. We presume it to start from ₹11 lakh - ₹20 lakh .

Mahindra Thar 5-Door launch

Well, we all are aware of the excitement people have for this one. Mahindra Thar itself is a good car, but it lacks practicality in huge numbers. Moreover, the Thar turned out to be such a mega-hit for the brand that it was very evident that they would come up with something of this kind. So, they have been heavily testing out the 5-door Mahindra Thar for almost a year now.

Speaking of details, it is probable that Mahindra will not make any kind of changes under the hood. They might possibly bring one extra powerful engine in order to compensate for its massive size and weight, but there are very minimal chances for this to happen. The design would be identical, with some features added, such as LED lighting, a New Grille design, a New set of screens inside, etc. The 5-door Thar would probably be a lot more practical as it will be having extra space behind its rear seats. 

About its launch. We expect Mahindra to launch the Mahindra Thar 5-Door in Quarter 3 or Quarter 4 ( April 2024 - September 2024 ) of 2024.

The expected price of the Mahindra Thar 5-door will range somewhere between ₹16 lakhs - ₹20 lakhs .

Mahindra BE.05 launch

Mahindra’s sub-EV brand, BE or Born Electric, will be announcing its arrival officially in 2024 by launching its BE.05. It will be a compact SUV, which will go head-on with the likings of Creta’s electric version. 

In terms of design, the BE.05 will be a Coupe SUV, which will also happen to be unique in its segment, as no other SUV, other than the Tata Curvv, would have this kind of design. The BE.05 will only be available in its electric version, and no ICE version is in the pipeline. We expect it to have a 50 kWh Battery Pack, which will be able to give you a drive of 350 km - 420 km. Features will also be the talk of the town, as the BE.05 will bring a feature-packed bag with it.

We presume that Mahindra will launch the BE.05 somewhere in late 2024 . About its price, the BE.05 will be priced somewhere around ₹18 lakh - ₹24 lakh .

Tata Curvv launch

Well, after the BE.05, the Tata Curvv.ev needs to be spoken of, as it will be one of the most important rivals for the BE.05. The Curvv is Tata Motors’ newborn compact SUV; with this SUV, Tata Motors will also step into the compact SUV market for the first time. 

The Curvv.ev will also be a Coupe SUV, like the BE.05. The Curvv will have its design inspired by other new-age Tata SUVs that have been launched recently. It will be packed with premium features like full LED lighting, beautiful 2 screens inside, and a lot of gimmicky features. The Curvv will not only be available in its Electric avatar, but also its ICE version will be launched later. But only the EV version will be launched in 2024, so we will be talking about that. The Curvv.ev will have a 50 kWh battery pack, which will provide a range of 350 km - 420 km. The Curvv.ev will also be Tata Motors’ first vehicle coming over the second generation of their EV platform.

The launch of the Curvv.ev is expected to take place after the Indian Auto Expo 2024 , as Tata Motors will be first showcasing the production-ready version of the Curvv.ev. The expected price of the Curvv.ev is predicted to be around ₹15.50 lakh - ₹20 lakh .

Tata Punch.ev

Yes, we might see a lot coming from the Tata House, as the same was confirmed by one of the Tata officials. So, our contestant is the Tata Punch.ev. It will be Tata’s fourth .ev vehicle in the market, as it will appear before the Curvv.ev. 

The Punch.ev will have minimal design changes, which will suit its EV appearance, just like the Nexon.ev. It will also go through a major feature upgrade, such as a new Two-spoke steering wheel, new screens inside, and a few EV touches for the interior. The Punch.ev might probably hold a 30 kWh battery pack, which will be capable of doing about 250 km - 300 km of driving range. It will also come with some Tata.ev specific features like the Arcade.ev app. 

The launch of the Punch.ev is expected to happen before or at the Indian Auto Expo 2024 . The expected price of the vehicle is estimated to be around ₹8 lakh - ₹12 lakh .
