Force Gurkha 3 door was first launched in 2021. It shook the audience with the G Wagen-inspired looks. With the boxy-design language and amazing off-road abilities, the Gurkha sort of created a decent competition for its only rival, the Mahindra Thar. But, with the G Wagen-inspired design, people also showed their interest towards a 5 door Force Gurkha, and the company has already heard, it seems. One of our Carversal Pros and Aristocrats has shared with us a spy image that is the clearest spy shot of Force Gurkha 5 door, and indeed reveals a lot of details.
The upcoming Force Gurkha 5 door will get a set of 17’ alloy wheels. The design of these alloy wheels will be of 5 spokes. It suits the entire silhouette of the SUV, as the design language of the SUV is very boxy. The alloy wheels will also get the diamond cut design feature in them.
The Tires on the SUV are also very big. They have a thick side wall, which will help the Gurkha off-road. The thread pattern of the tires can also be seen, and they are pretty dense, so, the traction off-roads will be good.
This image is of the rear wheel, and we know we have already talked about the alloy wheel design but, this is about something else. We can see that the upcoming Force Gurkha will get all four Disc brakes. This tells us that the Gurkha 5 door will be slightly more premium in terms of feature list compared to the Gurkha 3 door. Ultimately, this will also give the Gurkha 5 door a better braking mechanism in any situation.
The upcoming Force Gurkha 5 door will be unlike the Mahindra Thar 5 door, as it will get proper three rows of seats. It is suspected that the Force Gurkha 5 door will be a 6 seater, as it would be easier and more comfortable. Even the Force Gurkha 3 door is a 4 seater, so this gives us a clue that there are chances for the Gurkha 5 door to be a 6 seater SUV. Secondly, being a tall SUV, we do not think that headroom on any row of seats would be a problem.
The rest of the SUV is almost the same, except the length of the Gurkha 5 door. It still gets its indicators beside the hood opening, like on the G Wagen. The headlamps, too, have the same design, and they will get similar dotted DRLs surrounding the lights. The snorkel has also been retained on the Gurkha 5 door. The Spare wheel on the tailgate is a question, as it is not visible on this test mule.
The Force Gurkha 5 door will get the same 2.6 L Diesel Engine that produces 90 hp and 250 Nm of Torque. It would sound less but, it provides good enough punch, obviously, less compared to its rival Mahindra Thar. Moreover, the Gurkha 5 door’s engine will only be available with a 5 speed Transmission, unlike the Thar with both Automatic and Manual options.
The Force Gurkha 5 door is all set to launch this year, there is no sure launch date for the Gurkha 5 door but, we believe it will take place somewhere in the Third Quarter of 2024
The Force Gurkha will be priced at a premium compared to its 3 door sibling. We believe the Force Gurkha 5 door will be priced from ₹17 lacs.
