Honda has recently unveiled their new Made in India Made for India SUV, Elevate, which is a direct Rival of Hyundai Creta, the Ultimate King of the Segment, so let’s find out which one is for you and which one will suit your Mid-sized SUV needs.
Both, the Creta and the Elevate come in the 5-seater Mid-Size SUV Segment in which the length of the vehicle is usually between 4.1-4.4 Meters, costs between ₹ 10-20 Lakhs and has now become the best-selling segment in India as it falls directly above the average new car price in India of around ₹ 8 Lakhs but offers much more value for that additional 10-20 money.
The Creta and the Elevate have completely different design languages and brand identities. The Creta is made to look Futuristic with lots of lines, creases, shapes, cutouts and more all these factors actually come under Hyundai's recently opted unique out of the box design. Their cars would look different, as they want them to be.
While the Elevate carries Honda’s gentle design language with all simple and straight looks, not many creases or body lines, simple door lines and elegant Design. This brand has carried this statement of 'being simple' since long and have been following thoroughly. They always have been impressing with their clean approach.
At the Front, the Creta gets a split LED Headlight design with a big front grill in Hyundai’s signature shape. In contrast, the Elevate gets single unite ling horizontal LED Lights connected with the Front grill and the front grill is simply square-shaped with chrome accents surrounding it.
On the side, both the cars carry the same design Language, with the Hyundai having big crease lines on its doors, 17-inch diamond cut alloys which look pretty good and a bit of a sloping type roofline design. In contrast, the Elevate gets the simple Honda Treatment with simple 17-inch alloys (which look bad), almost no crease lines on the door, all simple looks, straight window lines and a straight roofline.
At the back, the Creta is filled with lines and designs with split taillights, connected by a black line containing the rear brake lights, the rear boot lid contains the Number plate housing, and the rear glass has a tilt to gives more of a Coupe like looks. In contrast, the Honda Elevate has long horizontal led taillights connected by a black bar containing the Honda logo, rear bumper contains all-black cladding with a great insert to enhance the feel.
Now the preference of every Individual is perspective, but if you want a straightforward and elegant-looking vehicle go for the Honda Elevate. If you want more lines, curves, and cuts, go for the Hyundai Creta.
The Honda Elevate has right been launched with Just one Petrol Powertrain option. Still, the company has confirmed that in Future, the Vehicle with get a Strong Hybrid system like the Honda City, and in the next 3 years, it will get a fully Electric version.
Whereas the Creta is right now available in a normal petrol engine, a turbo petrol engine and a diesel engine option, as the Elevate has a simple naturally aspirated option only so it is wise to compare it with that only.
