Jeep’s most affordable SUV in the Indian market is the Compass, and it has received a cosmetic update - Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition. The Compass was first launched in India back in 2017. It was in its 2nd Generation globally at that time. Currently, it is running on its facelift update, which was launched back in 2021. The Compass rivals India’s entry-level premium segment of SUVs - Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 7OO, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan, etc.
It was sort of a hit in the Indian market, with respect to the segment in, which it was launched. In its first year (2018), Jeep sold almost 20,000 units of the Compass in India. This sales mark was pretty stagnant until late 2020 when it fell down to 8,500 units. Then, in 2021, Jeep brought in a significant facelift update to the Jeep Compass by giving the SUV all the modern technological features it was lacking. This, again, made the Compass jump up to 11,700 units in 2021, and 13,300 units in 2022. But, in 2023, due to the strengthened competition, the Compass sales stumbled dramatically at 4000 units in 2023.
This edition brings in a few new features in the Compass lineup at a cheaper price range. The Anniversary Edition sits in between the Longitude and Limited Variant, further making it the Third variant in the lineup. This variant has brought a range of premium features, like Red Velvet Leatherette Seats, Ambient Lighting, Advance Front & Rear Dashcam, Panoramic sunroof, Exclusive Hood Decal, and Red embellishment in the 6th grille slot. These are the features that are available in the Anniversary Edition of the Compass.
Other than these, we also get a 10.1-inch Infotainment screen, an Automatic Climate control, a Push Button Start, a 10.2-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, Rear AC vents, 17-inch Alloy wheels, etc. Moreover, the Compass Anniversary Edition is available in 7 color options - Pearl White, Silvery Moon, Brilliant Black, Exotica Red, Magnesio Grey, Techno Metallic Green, and Galaxy Blue.
The price for the Anniversary Edition is set at ₹25.26 Lakhs.
