Mahindra's Thar 5 door or the 2024 Mahindra Armada is the most anticipated car launch to happen in 2024 in India and so far we have been speculating its features and looks, but now the official looks of the New 5 door Thar is confirmed to have leaks have emerged on the internet revealing the entirety of the new Thar.

From the first Spy shots, we can see the new Armada or Thar 5 Door finished in a New Red Metallic color which looks amazing on this big SUV and is not basic like XUV700's red color, The Front of the Mahindra Armada will get the same overall shape with new rounded LED Headlights C-shaped DRLs and High Beam projector in the middle, The Front grill is a 6 slat unit with thin bezels around all the slats and the front Bumper is more protruded than before with small LED Fogs lamps connected with the central grey finish.

The windshield is the same as the Thar 3 door but we can see the ADAS radar on the windshield confirming the presence of the ADAS level 2.

In the Second leak, the side of the Thar 5 door is visible where the shape of the ORVMS, from the doors, is the same as the outgoing 3-door Thar but below the ORVM a bulge is visible indicating the presence of 360 camera tech. from doors have the same external hinges with the new thing is the new set of doors which kinda looks thin making ingress and egress a bit more difficult but behind them is the quarter glass which is making a lot of people confused as the quarter glass is a triangular shaped one which does not suit the overall boxy appeal of the SUV but Mahindra may have put this to distinct it from the Wrangler 5 door.

Below the doors are the new set of footsteps finished in grey and black finish giving the vehicle a more rugged and Off-road appeal.

Thar Armada Interior Technology 

The Thar Armada will get bigger screens from the XUV 3XO and XUV 4OO. The Infotainment screen will be a 10.25’ unit with the latest version of the AdrenoX. It will have all the modern amenities, like a 360-degree surround view camera, Off-road details, Vehicular information, AQI index, Media Controls, etc. 

The Instrument Cluster will also be a 10.25’ unit with premium graphics. It will have various dial faces depending upon the Drive mode the SUV is in. It will also display Navigation maps on the screen for better convenience. 

Thar Armada Engine Options 

Thar Armada will host various engine options, which will mainly be iterations of the Petrol and Diesel engines. 

It will get a 2.0 L mHawk T-GDi Petrol Engine. This engine will produce 200 hp and 380 Nm Torque. It will get both Manual and Automatic options. It will not be equipped with the 4WD mechanicals. 

It will also get a 2.2 L mHawk Turbo Diesel Engine. It will produce 180 hp and 450 Nm Torque. It will be mated with both Manual and Automatic options. This engine will be equipped with the 4WD off-road mechanicals. 

Thar Armada Launch Date and Price Details 

Thar Armada is set to be launched on 15 August 2024. It will create a new segment of entry-level 5-seater off-road SUVs.

The Thar Armada will be quite expensive compared to the Thar 3 Door. It will carry a premium approach, which is why, we believe, it could start from ₹14 Lakhs and climb up to ₹22 Lakhs.
