The 2023 Tata Safari and Harrier Facelift have been testing heavily throughout the country over the past few months. Still, the tested units were heavily camouflaged, so to make the looks more transparent for the audience, we carversal pro have made clear renders of the 2023 Tata Safari Facelift to give an India of how the new SUV will look.

 

At the front in the renders, you get all-new looks with slim front LED Lights bars that connect to the front grill via a thick chrome bar. The front grill is all new with a new shape and indents, below this are the high beam and the wide beam housing in a triangular shape and in a black finish which connect via a thin black line. The front bumper has an all-new body with the ADAS sensor and a grey skid plate.

 

On the side, the new Safari will get the same looks as the previous one but with a new set of 19-inch alloys with a complex finish resembling the jeep compass alloys from 2019.

 

But the fundamental differences can be seen at the back, where the overall aesthetics of the vehicle are pretty much the same. Still, now we get a new set of thinner and connected taillights connected by a red LED light bar and a black housing for the LED Light bar. The rear bumper is also entirely updated with a new set of grey skid plates and new bumpers with a more rugged look.

 

Powertrain

 

The new Tata Harrier and Safari will get the previously offered 2.0l multi-jet diesel engine sourced from the Fiat Chrysler automotive also present in the MG Hector or the Jeep Compass but can get 400 NM Torque easily with some minor tuning and will also be offered with Tata’s newly developed 1.5L Turbocharged direct injection engine which will produce around 170 hp.

 

Launch

The new Set of Tata SUVs are expected to launch by the end of 2023 as the lineup is now pretty old, and all the other competitors have already launched facelifts of their SUV, so expect the launch to happen around The third quarter of 2023 with prices starting around ₹ 14 Lakhs

But one of the Tata dealers has confirmed that the SUVs will launch by October 2023 so last quarter of the year.

Competition - 

The 2023 Tata Safari will mainly compete with the Mahindra XUV700 and as the competition is solidifying Mahindra is also launching the 6 Seater version of their XUV700, to compete properly Tata Needs to make their SUV more feature advanced and simultaneously give a petrol engine option as Half of the sales of XUV700 comes from its petrol option and right now Tata does not offer any petrol option in its Safari and Harrier and still manages to sell around 5,000 units of both the SUVs combined so if Tata Launches a Powerful petrol engine with the New Tata Safari and Harrier Facelift, the sales number can easily reach around 8000-9000 units per month.

The other vehicles in the segment like the MG Hector or the Hyundai Alcazar are not quite direct competitors as they are more of a Creta and Seltos Rivaling SUVs and then comes the Mahindra Scorpio which was earlier the direct rival of the Previous Gen Safari, but now the Safari has become a monocoque chassis-based SUV where the Scorpio is still based on body on ladder.

 

The new Facelifted Harrier and Safari will be the perfect SUV to rival hi-tech Seltos like SUVs and Off-road oriented Scorpio like SUVs because of the new Hi-tech features and rugged looks, only if Tata introduced 4x4 in their new Facelift, the brand value of the New SUV will skyrocket because people will form a much higher perspective for the SUV if 4x4 is introduced with it.
