Nextra Developers Scam: How Nikhil, Ashok, and Ankit Bansal Defrauded a Delhi YouTuber and Others
In a shocking real estate scam, Nextra Developers, the company behind the Nextra City in Kharkhoda and Nextra The Address projects in Mayur Vihar, allegedly defrauded a prominent Delhi-based YouTuber and his family out of crores of rupees. The company's directors and partners—Nikhil Bansal, Ashok Bansal, and Ankit Bansal—are accused of misleading investors, including the family of YouTuber Harsh Babbar, who runs the popular YouTube channel Aristocar.
The story begins around 2014-2015, when Ashok Bansal, owner of another real estate firm, SUNCITY Developers, approached Harsh Babbar’s family with a promising investment opportunity. The ‘CyberPark project was touted as a massive commercial space that would house individual units to be leased to large companies, ensuring significant property appreciation and a guaranteed monthly return for investors.
Ashok and Nikhil Bansal guaranteed Harsh’s family a monthly return from day one. They assured them that if they didn't receive possession of their units within two years, SUNCITY would pay a penalty of ₹70 per square foot per month until the property was handed over.
Initially, the family received the promised returns for a few months. However, after a while, Nikhil Bansal claimed the company had no money left and started issuing cheques that could supposedly be encashed later. Suspicious, the family began to dig deeper into the project, only to find that SUNCITY did not even possess the necessary licenses for the so-called CyberPark project. Essentially, they had been sold a dream that didn’t exist.
When confronted, Nikhil and Ashok Bansal promised Harsh’s family an alternative—a unit in their second commercial real estate venture, Nextra The Address in Mayur Vihar. However, this project faced constant delays, initially due to slow development and later due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After the pandemic subsided, development on the project resumed, and other investors began booking spaces. Harsh’s family, expecting possession of their promised space, contacted Nikhil Bansal for updates. Shockingly, they were told that Nextra Developers would neither provide the space nor pay the assured return. They were brazenly advised to take the matter to court, with the company confident that their paperwork had been framed so that the family would lose.
Harsh’s family filed an FIR at their local police station, but the investigation, initially promising, soon stalled. After nearly nine months with no updates from the investigation officer or the inspector, it became clear that justice was being delayed.
Frustrated with the lack of progress, Harsh turned to his YouTube channel Aristocar, which usually focuses on car-related content, to expose Nextra Developers. In a video, he detailed the scam and even shared the company’s contact information, encouraging his followers to demand answers.
The video led to a flood of angry comments and low ratings for Nextra Developers on Google. However, the company allegedly manipulated the situation by deleting negative reviews, reinforcing suspicions that the positive feedback on their page was fake.
Angry at having their ratings and reviews removed, people began calling Nextra’s official helplines. In response, Ashok Bansal and his team reportedly suspended services on these lines, making it impossible for investors—both new and old—to reach the company. Even existing customers seeking help found the helplines perpetually busy or disconnected.
The Nextra Team even tried to remove the video from YouTube and put an appeal on YouTube, but YouTube denied their appeal, saying the video neither contains any personal Information Nor any misinformation and is intended to make the Audience aware.
Other investors who had fallen victim to Nextra Developers’ fraudulent practices in the Nextra The Address and Nextra City projects also tried to raise their voices on social media. Still, they claim the company is actively attempting to suppress these efforts.
Investors who have been duped by Nikhil Bansal, Ashok Bansal, and Nextra Developers strongly advise others to stay away from their current projects—Nextra The Address and Nextra City. Given the company's past behavior and the many unresolved complaints from previous investors, the chances of losing money appear to be high.
