The New Mercedes E-Class has its design inspired by two of the mainstream Mercedes sedans - The Mercedes C-Class and the Mercedes S-Class. As of now,  all three sedans share the same styling cues along with a uniqueness of their own.

Other than that, the E-Class has been introduced with a larger bonnet and a larger grille (with optional illuminated sound) along with sleeker front headlights, while still maintaining its traditional E-Class looks.

Mercedes will also include multiple styling packages and AMG-line trims that will complement the standard E-Class looks as well.

The Mercedes Benz E-Class sits on a new version of the Mercedes-Benz Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform, which consists of a lightweight steel and aluminum platform that enhances the rigidity of the sedan.

Apart from the Sedan Mercedes has also revealed that there will also be an E-Class wagon (popular in the European markets), along with an E-Class All Terrain model too which will be unveiled next year. However, Mercedes will not keep the coupe or convertible version of the next-gen lineup as it is combining the C and E-Class coupe and cabriolets into a new CLE model. There will also be a longer wheelbase sedan which will be revealed in a couple of months.

Mercedes is going to offer a reworked new look for the cabin, providing more comfort, more digitized features and using higher quality materials for its interior. The Dashboard will receive a free standing 12.3 inch instrument display and 14.4 inch portrait style infotainment system. Mercedes has made most of the functionality of the car digitized with a major upgrade in its driver’s console which was analog in its predecessor. There will also be an option available in the new model with Mercedes-Benz Superscreen.

As for its tech the Mercedes E-Class will get level-4 autonomous tech along with driverless valet parking function (previously available in the S-Class) as an option in those countries where the law allows autonomous driving such as Germany.

Like the current E-Class in the Indian market, the next gen E-Class will also receive a longer wheelbase iteration, which is being tested in China currently, which means the production version is yet to be started in 2023.

With India being a the Right-Hand Drive market Mercedes-Benz only sells a handful of models with a Longer Wheelbase. The Brand has officially announced that it will start production of the LWB models for India only after the debut of the standard wheelbase models has been completed which means that we can expect the market debut of the E-Class only around the second half of 2024.
